As
an honor for working in the legislative field for over 20 years, INA
lobbyists Bob Mulqueen (27 years) and Jim Obradovich (23 years), were
honored this week by the Pioneer Lawmakers Association. This honorary
society was established in 1886. In 1931, Governor Dan V. Turner in his
welcome address to association members stated: "With your experience
both in the legislature and as citizens you can and should exert wide
influence in moulding thought toward the enactment of legislation in the
General Assembly that will hold the government close to the people".
INA has the good fortune to have two lobbyists with 50 years combined
experience who still put Governor Dan B. Turner's words into action,
"Exert a wide influence in molding thought...and hold the government
close to the people". Thank you for your knowledge, insight and
direction for our organization. Congratulations, Bob and Jim! Jim's
wife, Kathie Obradovich was also honored for 24 years of legislative
service.
Among
the honorees are four current legislators: Senate Majority Leader Dix
and Senator Dotzler, who both came over from the House, and Senator
Behn and Representative Dolecheck.
