Presentation Objectives

• Understand the role of "desire" in the development of cultural competence
• Describe a model of cultural competence that emphasizes "cultural desire"
• Discuss the processes that lead to "cultural desire"

How to get to the Library & Museum:  The Hoover Presidential Library Museum and the Hoover Birthplace Cottage lie within the 186-acre Herbert Hoover National Historic Site, located in West Branch, 10 miles east of Iowa City, just off Interstate 80 at Exit 254.
